Mince pies and mulled wine to celebrate the ‘Season of Giving’

More than 50 residents from the village of Cawood near Selby in North Yorkshire, enjoyed a festive gathering with friends thanks to Quickline’s ‘Season of Giving’ initiative.

For more than 25 years the Cawood Women’s Institute (WI) has hosted a Christmas event in the community for over 65s and this year they asked for our support.

We were delighted to offer some ‘Season of Giving’ funding to enable the festivities to take place. The social afternoon saw locals get together to enjoy mince pies, mulled wine and good company.

June Smith, a member of Cawood WI and organiser of the event, said: “We are so thankful for the support – it makes a real difference to our small community. Our get-togethers are really important and help to keep everyone’s spirits up.”
